Total Rework


It's an unfortunate thing, but I'm not happy with this game. I don't find it terribly fun. It frustrates me. Development is going poorly and things just aren't working how I'd like. So, as a result, I am going to rework the game from the ground up after taking some time to learn how to use a more versatile game engine: Godot.

The primary thing I am hoping to accomplish is to bring this game more in line with my original vision: a rock paper scissors RPG of sorts. The timing based combat was always meant to be a placeholder until I could get the rock paper scissors combat figured out, and I guess I forgot about that. I know some of you like it, but it's just not for me, I suppose, and having a game that isn't much fun doesn't really inspire me to work.

In regard to the non-combat parts of gameplay, part of me wants to create something similar to Delver or an early First Person Dungeon Crawler. I do not fully know why. I guess cuz they're cool.

I hope you can all forgive my flakiness, but sometimes this is how game development works. Sometimes you have a bunch of old projects you show off but never finish. Like sketch art that never gets lined or something. I don't know. I'm just a hobbyist anyways.
